Many of you know the delightful and talented Mindy Backes (Minders) through her strong online presence. Mindy and I have been friends for a couple of years now and we run a Facebook group together that we created for SU demos.
When we were at Convention this year Mindy asked me to join a design team she would be putting together for a challenge blog. After hearing her ideas for the blog and who I'd be joining up on the team with, I was excited to jump on board.
So if you haven't already checked it out, head on over to the Fab Friday Challenge Blog. You'll be able to see the creations there from myself, Mindy, and the rest of the design team. You'll also be able to add your own take on this week's challenge to the blog.
Mindy issued us a sketch to create with for our debut challenge. Here is the sketch:
I'm working on Halloween projects for my upcoming September Club meeting so I decided I would make my challenge card a Halloween one since I was already in the Halloween mojo.
SUPPLIES USED: Stamps: Googly Ghouls, Delightful Dozen; Ink: Jet Black Staz-On, Sahara Sand, Lucky Limeade, Rich Razzleberry; Paper: Lucky Limeade, Basic Black, Going Gray, Rich Razzleberry, Very Vanilla; Accessories: Finishing Touches Edgelits Die, Brights Glimmer Brads, 1 1/4" Square Punch, Spider Web Embossing Folder, Blender Pen, Googly Eyes
I have loved the Googly Ghouls stamp set since I first saw it, but I must admit that I have had a hard time finding examples of cards using it that I'm very excited about. It's a stamp set that could easily make or break a card depending on how you use it. Don't forget about the amazing bundle that is offered for this stamp set and accessories if you decide to purchase it!
I'm excited to be a part of Fab Friday and hope you're excited about it as well. Be sure to head over to the blog to see the creations by the other designers. Join in the fun and create your own card using the sketch. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
